Our fleet of bikes

You'll probably not find a collection of rental bikes like this anywhere else. But then you won't find riding like ours in the Bay area anywhere else, either. Epic rides deserve premium quality bikes. Click on the images below for full size versions of the pics.

Most of our fleet is the full-carbon Look 585 frameset built up with Shimano Ultegra 10 speed grouppo with compact (50/34 tooth) cranks. Saddles and pedals are matched to your needs at time of delivery. This is one sweet bike that will get you over our climbs with plenty of energy to enjoy our ripping descents. This is also the most comfortable bike in the Look frame lineup, so it soaks up the imperfections in many of our more remote roads with ease.

Sizes currently available, measured by effective top tube length: 53cm, 54.5cm, 56 cm and 57.5cm. Those are Sm, Med, Large, & XL if you are going by the commonly used size names (we're persnickety about bike fit so we go by the numbers around here). We size them by TTeff because they are a semi-compact design and seat tube length does not mean anything. Crank length and bar width are size matched - larger bikes have longer cranks and wider bars. Wheels are a mix & match of Reynolds Aluminum and other premium quality Al wheels (Easton for instance) and select Reynolds carbon wheelsets are available as an upgrade option.

Every once in a while we mix in something different, like one of these.

If you just go by the numbers and the ride, carbon is the ultimate in weight, stiffness, and comfort. Nevertheless, it does have some drawbacks, and some folks simply like something different from what carbon offers. We love the ride of titanium, and it is the perfect material for a custom frame. The folks at Lynskey make some of the finest quality and visually stunning Ti bikes on the market. We have this demo available in our BikeConcierge fleet with a TTeff of 56cm (size M/L) and we have their R120 brushed Ti frameset with a 59cm TTeff built up for those of you who need a larger bike.
