What is a "bike studio" anyways?

We kept having to explain to people that we are not a normal bike shop so we figured we better stop calling it that. SVCC is a bike studio, and here is what it's all about.

First of all, we are more about service than product sales. We sell products, but we do it with an emphasis on service - one customer at a time. We meet with clients by appointment so that when you arrive, you get our undivided attention.

When you visit us you'll notice that we stock little inventory. The problem with inventory is that you need to sell it - all that cash tied up on the shelf creates a tendency to solve every customer problem with the latest widget. While we carry some awesome products (and take the time to be truly knowledgeable on each one of them) we also offer a lot of services that can help you ride faster, safer, with greater comfort. If you do need to see a larger selection than what we stock, we are happy to help you find one of the many traditional bike shops in our area that can best meet your needs.

Finally, a note about what kind of customer we we serve. Are they beginners, racers, or enthusiasts? Well, yes to all. From those just starting out all the way to national caliber competitor, we help riders have more fun on the bike, whether fun means going for a 20 mile ride with your friends in the foothills or thrashing the competition. And isn't that what it's all about?
